Guarionex Reyes Aquino, who became one of the great baritones of the last century Dominican, was born in Mao, Dominican Republic, 28 February 1924. Four years later he was invited to play the part Guarionex baritone Fauré's Requiem with Schola Cantorum of the Convent of the Dominicans, who had at that date under the direction of Dr. Rafael Bello Peguero. At that time were frequent international tours and art came to the beaches of Curacao, Canada, Haiti, Venezuela and the United States in the latter group participated Damirón Cassandra, in presentations that included the cities of Baltimore, Chicago and Washington. In 1961 he was professor of singing at the Academy of La Voz Dominicana, in 1964 produced for the same station the program prints of my land and recorded a number of songs dedicated to different provinces. They became known in that space, among others: Bani, Ramon Gallardo, Azua, of Guarea Perez and Seibanita, Julio Gautreau. Also in the seventies Aquino created the master of Radio Santa Cruz, which helped raise the cultural level of the community where it was located, Mao. Much of its programming was devoted to disclose the best works of local and foreign artists. In 1999, after several years spent in various tasks, he returned to teach at Radio Television Dominicana. He returned with all the accumulated experience of a life long artist and the joy and enthusiasm of youth who had come to the Dominican Voice back in the fifties.
